Background to the Magic Million

The 'Magic Million' is a piece of research, a survey, published by The Directors' Centre late March 08.

The purpose behind the research was to understand the behaviours and actions of those business people that take their businesses through the million pound turnover barrier as well as those that are able to extract at least a million pounds from the sale/exit/growth of their business. 

We talked to the people who have 'been there and done it', and we talked to those that had failed, as well as those who are trying to make it. What makes the successes different from the rest? What can the rest learn? Fascinating stuff.
